Instructions for sample collection

That's how easy our test kits are to use.

Before sampling

  • Remove supragingival plaque and dry the sampling site. (no professional tooth cleaning).

Please note that:

  • Extensive bleeding and/or pus discharge as well as sampling soon after a periodontal treatment can falsify the analysis result.
  • The subgingival microflora requires at least 6 weeks of time to re-establish itself after antibiotic treatment.
  • The use of antibacterial mouthwash solutions immediately before sampling can falsify the analysis result.

❶  Preparation

Take the paper points and select the sampling site(s) for the samples.

2a.  multi-site test

Samples from multiple dental pockets are combined in a single analysis.

Simply place all used paper points into one tube.

2b.  single-site test

Separate analyses of samples from up to four

different dental pockets. Each paper point is placed into a separate tube.

❷  Sampling

Using sterile tweezers, insert a paper point down to the bottom of the dental pocket and leave it there for 10 to 15 seconds.

❸  Order

Fill out the order form online; a paper form is optional; note the test number in your records.

Tip: Take a photo of the batch label on the back of the test box.

❹  Shipping

Send in the samples and, if applicable documents postage paid in the PadoTest® kit box and

obtain the result online and/or by mail/email.

Take the paper points and select the sampling site. Sampling must always be carried out using exactly two paper points from the deepest pocket of the periodontium.*

 

Note: Analysis only possible if exactly two paper points are sent in.

❷  Sampling

Using sterile tweezers, insert two paper points down to the bottom of the dental pocket, leave them there for 10-15 seconds and transfer them to the enclosed test tube.

❸  Order

Fill out the order form online; a paper form is optional; note the test number in your records.
